Arizona Driver's Education

Driver's education in Arizona

Once you get your instruction permit you then become eligible to take professional classroom and behind-the-wheel courses to better gain an understanding of the rules of the road.

You can choose to skip the classroom training for the Arizona driver's education course, and instead drive a minimum of 30 hours, at least 10 hours of which are at night. But, it is required to have a licensed driver who is 21 or older sitting next to you at all times. Your parent or legal guardian must verify in writing that you've accomplished this task.
