Driver's education in Kentucky
In the state of Kentucky it is mandatory to complete driver's education before applying for your driver's license. You must complete 60 hours of driving practice with an adult who is licensed, and 10 of the 60 hours must be at night.
After completing your 60 hours of driver's education you will need to be able to show proof when applying for your driver's license.
If you are under the age of 18 you are required to finish a 4 hour graduated licensing education course within the year of having your Kansas driver's license. All driver's education courses are free provided by the transportation cabinet.
Another option for driver's education in Kansas is to enroll in your high school driver's education class or you can also enroll in an approved private driving school, just make sure to be able to provide a certificate of completion to the division of driver licensing.
