How to take a driver's education course in Wyoming

You are required to take a driver's education course in Wyoming if you are between the ages of 16 and 6 months year old-18 years old. The driver's education course in Wyoming must be state approved.

You can enroll in a driver's education course at either public or private schools, but make sure the course is approved by the Wyoming department of transportation.

The driver's education course in Wyoming will cover the following:

  • Classroom periods, focusing on issues including alcohol safety and drug abuse awareness, defensive driving, motorcycle awareness and organ and tissue donation.
  • In-car instruction sessions, divided into periods of actual driving and periods of observation time.
