How to renew your Idaho driver's license
Having a valid driver's license in the state of Idaho is required, so make sure to stay updated with the status of your Idaho driver's license. You can renew your Idaho driver's license up to one year before the expiration date.
You have a couple options when it comes to renewing your Idaho driver's license, if you are between the ages of 21-62 you can renew your Idaho driver's license every 4 years and be charged a fee of $30, or you can choose to renew your Idaho driver's license every eight years and be charged a fee of $55.However, if you are older than 62, you are required to renew your Idaho driver's license every four years.
If you are between the ages of 18-20, your Idaho driver's license will expire when you turn 21 and you only have five days after your 21st birthday to renew or your Idaho driver's license before it becomes expired.
If you are qualified to renew your Idaho driver's license by mail you should receive a renewal notice in the mail with the renewal application form from your DMV office, so look out for that around 60 days prior the time your driver's license expires.
